Business Owners Policy

A Business Owner’s Policy (BOP) combines business property and business liability insurance into one business insurance policy.

The Business Owner’s Policy, or BOP, shields you from lawsuits and liability claims; safeguards your inventory, equipment, and buildings; and provides financial protection in the event of an unanticipated loss to your business. Your business will be protected from claims caused by fire, theft, and other covered disasters with BOP insurance.

A business owner’s policy is essentially a general liability insurance policy that also covers property damage. It lowers the cost of several insurance policies by combining them into a single package. A BOP typically consists of: Only claims related to advertising are covered by general liability insurance and coverage for general liability. BOP incorporates general responsibility — in addition to property protection for your business and hardware and business interference inclusion.

A BOP can be less expensive than purchasing individual policies because there is only one policy to review. Either riders or endorsements can be used to add coverage.
